Reconstruction of Chairlift.
Samsons Group reconstructed the chairlift in Malam Jabba that was destroyed by the anti-Pakistan terrorists in 2008. PTI chairman Imran Khan inaugurated the landmark project of chairlift on which 208 people can take a ride Chairlift is about 640 meters long, and has 103 cable carts which can carry around 206 people, doubled the capacity of the previous chairlift. CEO Samsons Group Mr. Waseem-ur-Rehman while addressing the inauguration ceremony remarked, “We are thus intending to contribute towards the country’s tourism industry and enhancing economic activities in the beautiful region of Swat,” he further stated that Malam Jabba Hotel and Resort is planned to be a landmark project conceived in the geographical and historical context of the region, and would be the ultimate tourist destination at the foothills of Himalayas.
